DESCRIPTION: EPW - Tiffany & Co, Swiss, made by Ed Koehn, 46mm, 18K gold original Tiffany & Co. and Ed Koehn signed HC, front with floral pattern engraving which appears to have been executed to obscure an earlier engraving of initials which remain evident in areas, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, 18J, wolf's tooth winding, fausses-cĂ´tes pattern nickel damascene, s#86881 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 48.6 dwt (75.7 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: Starts ticking when wound but with likely broken mainspring as mvt winds endlessly without reaching full tension, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with some toning and scattered micro-fine scratches, group of scratches to balance jewel disk; virtually flawless dial with only a micro-fine scratch between 1 and 2; fair hands with color loss and minor oxide, small metal tear to hour base; case pendant has detached from band and currently swivels freely and with up/down play, case front lift spring is weak and not making contact with lid through final portion of opening range allowing lid to tip halfway toward closed with gravity, cuvette hinge with substantial excess play, cuvette falls closed with gravity and shows some small metal splits in hinge area and hinge pin is protruding at one side, case shows light wear, cuvette with long scratches from slipped past openings, prominent sharp and deep ding to upper right perimeter of rear, shallow but large crease shaped dent across rear, numerous additional scattered dents and dings elsewhere to rear and band, few dings to cuvette, reduced engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows light wear; crystal is missing.
